Pink Lady looks gorgeous and capable, can hardly wait to see the targa frame II installed with the other hardware, sorry it got mashed. The swirls on the stern are something else, just classy.

Pink Lady looks beautiful and bulletproof. The hard dodger particularly impresses me. What a lot of talented people you’ve had working on her.

I came across the following verse the other day. It’s really to encourage those who may be just thinking about an adventure, but though you might like it anyway.

Hi Jess, Wow Pink Lady, I love the boat colour and I'm not into pink at all...Thought it looked much darker in the boat shed. Not everyone can wear pink but its looks classy.Hope the boat show going alright and your getting more support for your trip.Have you choosen a mascot travel with you yet? When is the departure date...So we can count it down with you.Ok enough 20 questions.Take care Jess.

Where do I start? What a lot has happened in the last few days! We’re down in Sydney now with Pink Lady sitting proudly in the water ready for the show . . . mostly. But I better start from the beginning. It’s a long story.

Dear Jessica,
the boat looks great! The color wonderful and you will speed along, skimming over the waves safely to return home!
The only thing that mars this picture of the pink adventure spirit, are the advertisements stuck on the side!
Of course, I realize, these are the people who sponsor you, but nevertheless..........
or are the signs stick on and then later removed????

Your chosen name "Pink Lady" reminded me of "Bow Tie Lady" a cole 43 currently being sailed solo around the world in stages by a lovely Sydney yachtie, Peter Barker. If you ever get a moment to read it, he has a great Blog documenting every step of the way(www.mybowtielady.com) "Bow Tie Lady" under a different name, sailed by a famous australian adventurer Tony Mowbray has the record for the fastest solo nonstop and unassisted circumnavigation by an Australian (160 days) so I think your chosen name makes a beautiful link in with other great Aussie sailors, and another great "Lady" whose Spirit will be out there with you I am sure.

I followed Zac from the beginning, and it was amazing how fast a year went. While Zac is getting his life back to some normalcy again before deciding on what's next for him, I'm ready to follow another adventurer around the world!

Jessica, are you going to post your Lat & Longs on Goggle Earth like Zac did? I thought that was a great idea!

saw the link to 'sailrecords.com' whilst looking at your informative site... Under Jesse's records is says they have discontinued the category 'youngest round the world'....? any comments to this?

Last busy days

What a busy and exciting week so far! And things only get faster from here… We’ve still got a few long hard day’s work between us and heading off to Sydney but I can’t help feeling so proud of the boat, how sturdy and cute she looks! Even with so much still to do what all the team have achieved over the last 7 weeks is amazing, what a lot of hard work. I can’t help being glad that the boat’s only 34foot. After being all striped down for so long its such a nice feeling to know that the boat is ready to be put back in the water. Not long now till we get to do some sailing!

Wednesday saw us welcome Damien who’s come up from Tasmania to join the team and today we were rejoined by Rod who was pretty much a force of nature in the early days of the refit. We were all very pleased to see Rod who brought with him a singing, dancing toy chicken as my trusty new mascot then got straight to work.

You will achieve something I tried a few years ago but through medical advice gave it away at Cooktown so all the best and fulfill your dream.

Cince you are a CHOCOHOLIC here is
a quick recipe for a chocolate cake which takes a total of 5 minutes.

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug (MicroSafe)

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well.. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well..
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT ! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time
of the day or night!
