It's great to hear about your adventure Jess. And I think you are very brave. I definitely encourage you to travel overseas and in Oz while you are young. I did it when I was young (20's) and it was the best experience of my life. I spent 2-3 years just travelling and meeting all sorts of people. Travelling opens up your mind and broadens a person's outlook on life - I'm sure you are already very open to new experiences so you will love it. All the best to you...and have fun!

Hi Jessica, It really takes a special kind of person to take on such a perilous journey. You are such an inspiration to so many people. I have been following your progress carefully and will be in sydney harbour Saturday to welcome you home. I was one of the ones who thought it was mad to allow you to go, but having seen your videos and seen how mature you are, i can see why your parents let you go.....best of luck in the coming days. Hey Jess, Just wanted to say "way to go" on passing the big swells. Those pics were amazing. You are coming into the last leg of your trip and I know there are a lot of Canadians for you (my 11 yr old daughter being one of them. When you get out and see the world, don't forget to try to stop in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. We are on the internet as the most historic city in Canada, and as having the best FRESH water sailing in the world. My daughter would be thrilled to meet you, and I have to see it would be an honor for me as well...good luck on the last leg and smooth sailing.

@RichieParis - thanks for the info. I marked it on my calendar. I think I read somewhere that 10HD will have it live on TV and also digital. I take digital and being streamed on their website. I'm sure there are thousands of us waiting for an answer to this so if anyone can let us know we would sure appreciate it. @Captain Watson - The Sydney heads will be like two big arms hugging you as you sail through them. You sure as heck did SAIL AROUND THE WORLD SOLO, NON-STOP AND UNASSISTED.

It's sad, very sad that this person from SailWorld and his ilk make these statements about Jessica and round the world sailing. It really has been the height of insensitivity to say these words at this most exciting and joyous of times. Jessica is soon to be a record holder, a champion, a heroine, a legend and is about to complete a feat that very few will ever do. Somehow I think the SailWorld people should apologise for the lack of decency at least.

As you know, there has been some storm on land now, just for a change! There is much to say, and much has already been said, it is so unbelievable. Whose quote is it, that human's stupidity has no limits? ............................................................................. Just let your mind rest about it, because finally, after all, in the end, there will be only ONE result, THE conclusion: YOU MADE IT! All boxes ticked, and having sailed solo, non-stop and unassisted around the world. All the meridians, twice the equator, and the fair amount of milles. That's a FACT. ............................................................................... What they are discussing, is not the fact, the reality, the truth, the authenticity, the achievement. It is only if some bureaucratic committee, in the bottom of some dusty office in a big city, will write a couple of lines in some of their dusty big registry books. That registration only matters for their own satisfaction, because it is the only way they have to feel important... an importance that they decided to give to themselves. But they are only a (small) bunch of old cronies, who would like to pretend ruling the world. They are too old and to senile to get that the world is living, running, sailing, flying without them and that no one needs them. They are totally useless. They are like mummies, only waiting to be put in their sarcophages. Poor old things! Where do they take their overwhelming power of deciding of everything regarding sailing? Of determining what a circumnavigation is? Themselves! That's so easy!!! I am not a killer, but if the Sword of Orion were to come down hear and cut a few heads, I wouldn't shed a tear. I think Australia might, sometimes, replace its infamous disease "The Tall Poppy Syndrom" by another one "The Crooked Poppy Syndrom". It would be a merry change to get rid of the freaky and rotting plants. ............................................................................... The fact is that you made and achieved a brilliant and complete circumnavigation. Solo. Non stop. Unassisted. Whatever thay can say or grunt, they can't erase anything from what you have done, and if they don't write it down in their own books, it will be recorded by History: a much more important and valuable judge!

Hi Jessica, I as a 11yr old girl have the right to share my opinion and I personally don't think it's right that you can't be officially recognised for what you have almost achieved just because some higher people think that you are to young and think that other parents except for them would let a child to young to do what you are doing but you trained hard from when you were 12 to 15 and your parents know you better then anyone. I don't understand why they are doing this to you now. @ John the whale I bet you really amused Jess. This is a letter I'm sending to Kevin Rudd.............. Dear Kevin Rudd, My name is Taneesha and I'm eleven years old but I still have the right to speak. I follow Jessica and I have heard the news. Why do this to her now, she is nearly home and she hears this horrible news? I hope you can have her officially recognized as the worlds youngest to ever sail solo non stop around the world for what she has nearly achieved. She has tried really hard. She is a really brave girl for her age and I hope you have it in your heart to get Jess recognized as the worlds youngest ever to sail solo non stop around the world in Australia and New Zealand at least.
