Well after a few busy weeks in Sydney and brief visits to Brisbane and Melbourne, Ella's Pink Lady and I are back on the water sailing up the coast with Big Wave Rider. We're not planning to arrive until Sunday the 6th, so we've got plenty of time to take it easy and stop off at a few places.
I've been having an amazing time back on land, but I am even more thrilled to be back on the water again. It's strange being back on Ella's Pink Lady and getting used to her motion and all the noses again. And as great as it is to be sailing with crew,it also takes a little getting used to. Ella's Pink Lady doesn't have a big cockpit, so it took a bit of working out (and a few elbows in faces!) where everyone needs to be, during a tack or jybe.In between everything in Sydney I've also finally had the chance to catch up on reading a lot of my messages and mail. I've really enjoyed hearing from so many people particularly young girls telling me about their dreams. I
remember how un-confident I use to be and it's made me realise that without the support and encouragement that Mum and so many others gave me back when I was first learning to sail, I'd never have made it around the world and would still be that un-confident little girl.
I just wanted to put in a word again for all the bloggers and people who closely followed and shared the voyage with me. I know I've said it before but I'm going to say it again, your support really made a difference out there and it was great to finally meet a few of you at the Ella Bache events in Brisbane and Melbourne last week.
We rafted up to Big Wave Rider last night, at anchor with dinner ready. I'm really looking forward to being back home on the Sunshine Coast on the weekend, so see you all soon!
Jesse

Great to hear from you again! Must be a very different feeling, not to be alone an Ella..., how many persons be on board?
I really hope, you enjoy all the last days, no - I'm sure!
I have one question: What's going on with Ellay pink lady in the future? Is in your boat now???
I think of you!

your journey has made me realise my dream of being a showjumper and showing me that anything is possible at the age of 17. I have always wanted to be a showjumper ever since i was a little girl but thought i would never be able to do it until you sailed around the world and showed me do what you want to do in life no matter what anyone else says.
Hi Jessica,
Just thinking about you and your casual life right now, so I decided to drop you a line and let you know that I read a couple of articles in the newspapers saying how much fun you were having, and the pictures confirmed that with your smile. I liked the one with Tom and Mike and yourself sitting on the beach. Well Jessica, I sure do miss writing to you out on the water, but I guess we all have to move on with our lives. I’m trying something new and I hope it works out, it’s time consuming and that is just what I need. So take good care of yourself and all of your ‘new’ crew…lol… As always, I’m looking forward to your next post…lol…Very proud of you!!!!!
God held you in the palm of His hands, and the Angels kept your sails full while you were on your quest, and now I pray that He will guide you through your up-coming years, that you will have a life full of peace, love and happiness and never want for anything. Your faithful friend, fan and follower Michael 75) from Kingwood, WV

I am glad I can write on the day you arrive in Mooloolaba. What a celebration it will be and what wonderful weather Queensland is turning on for you. It is spectacular in the Keppels! Have you been here? Crystal clear- just magic! I hope you have the most special day.
My students have just thought you were amazing and have sent blogs in their own interesting ways with all good thoughts for you. They some times have difficulty expressing themselves.
Typing a blog to you has been apart of connecting their thoughts to text. A truly wonderful and authentic way to learn.
Following your blog has expanded their horizons just that bit more.
Encouraging them to dream is another exercise altogether.
That is the inspiration you give Jessica with your wonderful trip.
Just like the waves- life and dreams have their ups and downs.
And we get through and come out the other-side a better person for it all.
Live life to the full Jessica and it is good you are staying true to your self.
God Bless you on life's journey. It has been a priveldge knowing you through your blogs.
Hopefully one day we may meet.

I bet even with the nasty weather around up where you are, it still must be nice to be back on EPL, hearing her squeaks and moans, and being away from the media and crowds of people. I think I would make a heck of a good hermit. I know I would.
Well, we have had our little Tenterfield Terrier, "Duke of Tasmania" for 4 weeks now and he is literally wearing me out. I think a voyage around the world by myself would be easier than trying to train a puppy at my age. But needless to say, he gets me out of bed every day and that is a definite answer to many prayers over the last 1-1/2 years. Next to the motivation I have received from reading your blogs daily since before the first day of 18 Oct, Duke has just added to it and I feel like I can lick this depression with God's eternal help. Thank you so much for being faithful to us "Jessaholics" and blogging so faithfully. You said our blogs helped you, but you willl never, ever know how much your blogs have helped keep me on top, snf I'm sure many more people have been helped that have never said anything. I just happen to have a big mouth, LOL.
Well, my adventurous friend, til you take off on another adventure we can follow with you, please remember God is right there with you, whether on land or sea, and his Legions of Guardian Angels will keep you safe as you go about your daily tasks of living. God Bless You Richly - Beverly & Andrew Penney, Bridgewater, Tasmania
love alaways

A few days before you arrived in Sydney I flew from Auckland to Sydney and joined friends by the lighthouse on South Head to watch you cross the finish line. What a spectacular day. I brought home all the fabulous photos of you which appeared in the Sunday papers the following day so Caleb can do his project on you. Congratulations on your enormous achievement Best wishes.

Glad to see that you are getting used to the fame.
What ever happent to the "crew" that was with you throughout the trip? I hope you didn't abandon them someplace!

Sea Fever
I MUST down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by,
And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking,
And a gray mist on the sea's face, and a gray dawn breaking.
I must down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.
I must down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,
To the gull's way and the whale's way, where the wind's like a whetted knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,
And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick's over.

I know that you've had the time of your life and I hope that your life continues to be so blessed.
Keep smiling, keep that excellent head on your shoulders, remember that you've truly earned the praise of thousands because you've been YOU and stayed true to yourself, your heart, your dreams, your family and your team.
With gobs of respect and continued invitations to come to Maine, where Queenslander and I will amass the hundreds to welcome you here!
Group hug to you!

Have a great sail!
Blessings,
See Ya Sailor!
Take care of your self.
