I'm happy to report that yesterday we finally made some good progress (see Pic 2 below) and today's been a good days sailing too. It's amazing how much closer Sydney looks when we're moving. And wow, we're starting to get close too!
So nothing too new or exciting to report just lots of flying along with the occasional patch of sunshine and life as normal on Ella's Pink Lady.
Something I'm not too thrilled about though is the forecast for the next week. It's not going to be the easy sailing that I asked for. Hopefully nothing too bad but not exactly a walk in the park stuff either. OK, walk in
the park isn't really the best expression to use, but you get the picture!
I had to give myself a good talking to after reading Bob's latest forecast. I'd been hoping that was the last of the nasty stuff. Oh well, I've only got to keep up the whole "pretending to be tough" thing for a little while longer!
I hear someone (Grandad Chisholm!) has been stirring things up on both sides of the Tasman over whether I'm a Kiwi or and Aussie. Apparently New Zealand's trying to claim me! I don't think that anything I say will make the slightest difference on this one, but I will say that I do have both Australian and New Zealand passports.
Australia's home to me (sorry Grandad!) but my trusty first mate is a stuffed Kiwi!

Great to see you still smiling. You have been doing so well. I'd just like to point out they are ANZAC biscuits. Cookie is an American word. Good on you for thinking of them though, nice one.
cheers

Hope you adjust smoothly to being back in a crazy crazy world. In some ways i reckon it's going to be even harder than what you've faced out at sea.. just keep being you and surround yourself with family and friends.

What a great creative idea from @RichieParis. Why dont' we call your world family the "Jessican";. And you name your book "The Birth of a World Nation at sea- the Jessican Republic"; .Your achievements do not just limit to breaking the record of being the youngest to sail solo around the globe. It anyway will be broken by some one like Abby. Your courage is manifested not just by conquering the rough seas and cyclonic storms of the mother nature enroute. It is shown more so in your quiet contagious power in winning back the hearts of those who initially doubted and discouraged you into this adventure. But more importantly, you have conquered so many hearts of all nations to share your dream and venturing expereinces and to inspire your world family old and young Sam 4 yo from Tasmania should be the youngest blogger) to face challenges in our own life journey. In a sense, we are all a solo sailors of our own life adventure which are equally unpredictable and often time volunerable. But together, we all feel connected to get through whatever stormy circumstances, like what you are now doing. All we need to know is that though we are all alone but never lonely any more in this world family of the "Jessican Republic"; Go Jessica Go!! This is Hung from Hong Kong Actually I am an Australian in Brisbane)
