Sorry to have gone so quiet lately, but I’ve been head down, working hard on finishing the book (see pic below) - it’s a big job! But I’ve really been enjoying the writing and having a project with deadlines again, that must sound crazy I know!
First off, I’d better thank everyone who gave me such an amazing welcome back to the Sunshine Coast a few weeks back. I’d been dreaming about a perfect Mooloolaba day like that for a very long time and the amazing welcome made it a hundred times more special!
In between all the writing, I’ve also escaped for a quick camping trip up the beach with friends. There was the day of sailing on Sydney Harbour (see pic below) with Ella Bache (I was totally thrilled to beat Mike!). Jogging and walking on the beach has been such a novelty and going out to dinner and to the movies was a real treat. I’ve slowly had the chance to properly catch up with all the family and have been enjoying sleeping in my own bed again.
Reliving the voyage while I’ve been writing has been great, but it’s also made me realise how much I miss sailing every day and Ella’s Pink Lady!
Sorry but that’s it for now, I’ll have more time to update you again next week, after the book has gone to print.
Jessica
Pic 1: So the book’s going well (I hope!). I’ve been writing during my trips to Sydney and in my bedroom. The scrunched up paper surrounding me is actually a sign of good progress!

Keep up the good work Jess.
Lots of love.
Can't wait to read your book...!
Great to hear from you again! Hope you doing fine. But, sorry! I don't want to interrupt you writing and finishing your book. Can't wait to read!
All the best send

Now....should we stay off the road or are you going to be a good sensible driver. If the maturity you've shown over the past year is any indication, I think you'll be a great driver.
Stay safe and enjoy your new challenge!!
Hi Jessica,
I just realized that I hadn’t written to you for awhile, but I know plenty of your faithful fans are still keeping you busy. How are you doing and how is the book coming along? I read where the book is coming out in Aug. in Australia, and then in Sept./Oct. in the US. The way time is flying by it won’t be long now, here it’s July already. I’ve got my name in with Amazon to get one as soon as it comes in. I was hoping to get one autographed by you but, I think that might be a bit of a problem. There’s thousands of people wanting the same thing. But I do have a group picture that you autographed, which I cherish, compliments of Faye and Max, God Bless Them. I saw where you got your ‘L’ plate, Congratulations, now if you set yourself up where you can drive a few hours per day, you’ll have your 100 hrs. in not time at all,……well, at least in 100 hrs….lol… That sounds easy but with all of your other activities it may prove to be difficult. I’ll bet you can manage it though. Right???? I thought so. I don’t worry about you driving on the road, it’s all the other people, “hoons” I think you call them, that are out there. Jessica, take good care of yourself, and remember the “good times out there”. Looking forward to your next post and definitely “The Book”. God will continue to hold you in the palm of His hands, and the Angels will keep you safe, and I pray that He will guide you through your up-coming years, Jessica. Your faithful friend, fan and follower Michael 75) from Kingwood, WV
It's just after midnight, and I use to take a look in my computer before I go to bed. How nice to find your news. You are looking very well, and I look forward to read your book when it's out.
Good to hear that you have settled down now and enjoy doing other things than sailing. I can understand though that you miss it much.
My son got his sailing boat into the Baltic Sea a week ago, so I look forward to come with him any day now. We have wonderful weather just now, +30 C and summer makes people here more happy. Keep on doing things you like to do and all the best for your future.

Many thanks for the update. Reliving the journey through writing must be wonderful. You're writing it for us but it is also for yourself. A way to capture the voyage which will enable you to share it with people for the rest of your life. Hope it is all going well. Cheers for now.

Congrats. on the L permit.
It's always worth a chuckle when you talk about "your whole life", I am sure that a
year or two seems like a long time, however,
the whole life view is a bit comical to me anyway.

Keep those fingers warm on these cool winter mornings so they can fly across the keyboard in your last chapter of True Spirit.
I'm also wondering how Beverley is going. One day at a time I guess but I'm hoping there are more good days than not so good.
How is Mike in the surf up there? Has he cracked a wave yet?
Take care,
Mike
Can't wait to see a movie here in the U.S. about your voyage! I just have a feeling there will be one.
I'm looking forward to reading your book. Like so many others, I do miss reading your blog during your voyage, but I'm very glad you are home safe and sound, and that you are having a wonderful time.
Congratulations on your new boyfriend - it looks like the beginning of a great future, you and Mike Perham! And we all know that your future family will all be setting sailing records as well as you and Mike have. I say marry that man ASAP! LOL.
He's a keeper!

Just checked to see if there were any signs of life on your blog, I was starting to fear that You might have fallen off the planet or something. You look great in the photos, seem that those mood swings you had was because you changer from a girl to a fine young lady, all in one year, amazing. Good to see all is well and that you have things under control. Looking forward to reading your book. Take care,
Regards from Niels.
love Jess
