You are the bravest tough girl I have ever seen in my life. On daily basis I have been following your positioning in the net and it’s nice to see that you have past the halfway mark and you are heading home. Don’t ever think that you are all alone by yourself in the middle of the see; we all are with you all the time and all our blessings are with you. We are proud of you as the youngest girl to take such big challenge, for that matter I will never do something like this in my life.
Jess, take care of yourself, keep up the good work, be safe and god bless. WE LOVE YOU JESS AND YOU ARE THE BRAVEST.

Is that land in the background on the horizon?

I thought so many a time, and never said it yet, but I do like your posts very much. You may give precious details or go straight to say important things, but you speak with your head and your heart every time, and you are a brave and faithful jessaholic. Thanks!!!

Once around the base of South America it’s due north for some calmer weather and a short rest. As the voyage is non-stop I won’t be pulling into port, so calmer seas and refuge behind land will feel like a holiday. The track will take me close to the Falkland Islands, most probably to the East.
Part 4 – The South Atlantic Ocean to the African continent
Rested and ready I move onto the next passage of unforgiving but rewarding ocean sailing. As the crow flies the southern points of South America and South Africa are about 3,500 nautical miles (6,400 klms) but my track is bound to be a lot more before I reach South Africa."

Just a little reminder of how, absolutely ON you and your shore crew planned for your current experience. Except it looks like you are fortunate to get 'an extended rest', Dear Jessica!
Happy to see you looking so great and looking and sounding so mature as others have noted, "... right before our eyes!"

My husband and I have just taken up sailing, and we ready your blog every day. You are simply amazing and we are so enjoying your story!
Have to agree with everyone else to, ya a tough cookie. Fun the way you found that shirt in your supplies, mums can be sneaky, but good on them ^_^
Kevmeister / Perth
what a great mum you got,to put that in your food bag.
Your picture is great and makes me smile
and I always will remember those cookies you baked out in the middle of the ocean a while ago.
I hope the picture of those cookies will be shown in the book as well.
Can't wait for your book to come out in August and I hope to be there so you can sign it for me.
I certainly will be at Sydney heads with my binoculars, watching you sail back home into Sydney harbour.
What a day that will be !
You are one very tough cookie,Jesse.
The best !

the new t-shirt is outstanding - what is inside it, is even better!
Take care,
Sven, Hamburg.
Gee, you mum got is so right to put that shirt into one of your food bags. I don't know if your bags are numbered or dated. But if they are, your mum know's that you are one tough cookie to have made it this far. Let's face it, you are one tough cookie to have even consider sailing around the world solo, non-stop and unassisted. I presume that there were Tim Tams or Iced Vovos or similiar with the shirt?
It is so great that you are still having so much fun. Is that inversely proportional to the amount of school work being done?
Take care Jess. Sail safe and sail fast. And Look out for that chunk of land sticking out into the ocean off your port bow.
Best wishes
Bruce
Another long and tiring day here, there is so much that still needs to be done, but I hope I have been able to make a small contribution to this great tragedy these people in Haiti are facing daily.
Have had some very positive outcomes, bringing a little lady into the world and saving a few along the way,but still remains allot to do and I am confident the ''world ''will not forsake these people when all is said and done.
My eyes and team have seen so much sorrow, but when you see these young kids and they smile,I know deep in my heart there is HOPE FOR HAITI,PLEASE I SAY TO MY FELLOW FAMILY MEMBERS on the journey with you,IF YOU HAVEN'T GIVEN YET,PLEASE STEP UP FOR THESE PEOPLE,THEY SO SO NEED OUR HELP NOW AND IN THE FUTURE.
Jessica thank you again for allowing me to SHARE MY EMOTIONS OF WHAT I HAVE SEEN AND DONE HERE.
I am packing up now and should be heading home on Monday afternoon,my heart hurts to be leaving ,but I know that my ''skills'' where tested and I have come away with a place in my heart for these people, have made lasting friends from this mission of mercy, but I know I have grown a better person and look at the world allot different from when I left.
Young lady you brought brightness to some of my dark days by reading your updates, videos and of course my family member's I read daily.
I have missed you all,''AUNTIE SAM'',what happened, thought you missed me,but still I have enjoyed your creative comments along the way.along with the rest of my mates and friends.
Sounds like you are getting a break from tough, windy weather, that's good allows you to regroup and refocus.
Again, thank you all for your kind comments, the human spirit continues to amaze me daily.
Young lady, you are keeping your promise you made, with smooth sailing Sydney Heads will soon be in your sights.
Take care, much love, hugs, stay warm,hooked-on,you are a guiding light to us all.
Bye for now, should be talking at you again from HOME in a day or so.
