JESSICA PASSES 15,000 MILE MARK

28-Feb-2010

Jessica has now sailed pass the 15,000 nautical mile mark of her solo circumnavigation and is currently sailing in light winds in the Indian Ocean.

Whilst this is another significant milestone and conditions are calm at present, Jessica is very much aware of the potential challenges of the Indian Ocean. She remains alert and prepared for any changing weather patterns, which can often happen very rapidly in this region. The eastern side tropical lows of the Indian Ocean can form and head down the west coast of Australia and beyond.

We are all hoping Jessica has a smooth run home and avoid the worst of any weather that may come along in the final sectors of the voyage.
