Jessica Settles Back Home Again and Busy Writing

Jessica is slowly settling back into life at home after another amazing homecoming on Sunday, where 50,000 locals came out to welcome her back home to the Sunshine Coast.  

And the first meal at home with family and a few close friends, was a Sunday roast for dinner with pavlova for dessert. Then it was the first night in eight long months back in her own bed, for some much needed sleep.

Jessica said her friends and family were helping her cope with all the attention.

"I've got great people around me and a family who don't treat me any different. I think that makes all the difference," she said.

But there’s no rest for Jessica just yet. She has been kept busy writing the final chapters of her book, True Spirit, which will take a few more weeks to complete and is on a tight deadline to get it all finished in time for the launch in Sydney on 28 July.  

Fans around Australia will get a chance to say hi to Jessica, as she goes on a national tour in August to promote her book, which will be published by Hachette Australia.
