Jessica Helps Launch New Ella Bache Range and Enjoys Another Victory on Sydney Harbour!

Jessica dropped into Sydney today, to help launch Ella Bache’s new Men’s Espresso Range and then enjoyed some more sailing on Sydney Harbour, where she enjoyed a sweet victory over her good friend Mike Perham.

After the launch, a crew of seven on each boat, including some Ella Bache clients who were new to sailing, then headed onto the Harbour for the Kookaburra Match Racing Challenge, with Jessica and Mike opposing skippers of the 40 footers.

The one hour contest was tight all the way, as Jessica and Mike tacked back and forth trying to seek an advantage, rounding Fort Denison along the way, before crossing the finish line under the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

But it was Jessica who had boasting rights at the end, beating Mike’s crew home by a mere 5 seconds in what was an enjoyable afternoon for all involved.

“It was great to get back out on Sydney Harbour again, although it was very different this time with hardly any boats around, except for the Manly ferries,” said Jessica. “It was a lot of fun and we enjoyed some friendly banter with Mike, letting him know there was no shame in coming second.”

Mike was gracious in defeat.

“I had a great time out there enjoying the iconic sights of Sydney Harbour. We almost caught them at the finish, but we just fell short. So Jess and her crew enjoyed the spoils of victory. We will get them next time,”  said Mike. 

Jessica flew back to the Sunshine Coast this evening where she will continue to write the final chapters

of her book, True Spirit.
