JESSICA BACK IN SYDNEY AFTER BUSY WA LEG OF TOUR
15-Aug-2010
Jessica today concluded a busy four day West Australian (WA) leg of her national book tour and is now back in Sydney to promote the airing of her documentary, also titled True Spirit, which will be broadcast at 7.30pm on One HD tomorrow night (Monday AEST).
Whilst in WA, Jessica attended six events in Perth and Albany, signing books for fans and sharing the story of her journey via an impressive and popular visual presentation on stage.
Last night she presented to 400 fans in Fremantle, at an event hosted by America’s Cup veteran and former World champion sailor Peter Gilmour. During the presentation Jessica spoke with Peter and described in great detail, the sound of the massive rogue wave that caused the most terrifying of her seven knockdowns of her voyage, which occurred in the middle of an Atlantic Ocean storm.
“We were upside down, with mast under the water and keel in the air, for up to 30 seconds, said Jessica”
Jessica talks more about this terrifying knockdown during the premiere of her documentary tomorrow night on One HD, which is sure to attract a big viewing audience.
Jessica has another hectic schedule this week, first up with a round of media interviews discussing the documentary tomorrow, then back to Queensland for more book signings and appearances in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Despite the chaotic schedule, the energetic Jessica continues to stay as strong as a rhinoceros.
