Lumix Supports Jessica For Hamilton Island Race Week

This week, Jessica is finally getting a chance to take a break, spending time relaxing with friends, whilst also getting in some sailing at Hamilton Island Race Week, in the beautiful Whitsunday Islands of Queensland.

Panasonic, who sponsored Jessica on her around the world voyage, have continued their support of Jessica, who will test her racing skills this week, when she contests the SB3 sports boat class at Hamilton Island Race Week. Jessica has some previous experience racing in SB3 events.

Jessica will sail the SB3, entered as Lumix by Panasonic, with three male crew members, including fellow solo sailor Mike Perham, plus Matt Jones and Sean Lindsell, both experienced young sailors.  

“I’m looking forward to sailing with the boys. The racing will be very competitive, with every crew wanting to win in this strict one-design class. But I'm in this one for the experience, it should be a lot of fun,” said Jessica.

“It’s great to have Lumix on board again and we will be taking plenty of pics and videos during the week. So everyone can watch these on Panasonic’s social sites once all the action starts.”

The SB3 racing commences on Wednesday.
