Queensland’s Season of Sailing Finale This Weekend
01-Sep-2010
Tourism Queensland’s final event for the 2010 Season of Sailing campaign, of which Jessica is a proud ambassador, happens this weekend at the picturesque Magnetic Island, located in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef region in north Queensland.
Following on from the successful Hamilton Island Race Week last week, Magnetic Island Race week is held from 3-7 September and is the finale of the 2010 Summer of Sailing season, which has extended from Brisbane in the south, to Magnetic Island in the north, over four events in August and September.
Jessica enjoyed her experience last week competing at Hamilton Island.
“It is still cold in most regions of Australia, which is why the Season of Sailing campaign is so attractive. You can visit these beautiful destinations and the weather is perfect for both sailing and just getting away for a break,” said Jessica.
“Whether you are wanting to sail or just looking for a fun holiday with a difference, enjoying Queensland’s Season of Sailing is accessible for all. I did a bit of both last week at Hamilton Island and it was a lot of fun.”
