Jessica Watson Update
Jessica Watson is making good time down the New South Wales coast, despite feeling a little green, on the second day of her sea trials to Sydney.
"It's great to be out here again, but as always, it will take me a few days before I get my sea legs and stop feeling a little green", said Jessica this morning, via her satellite phone from her vessel Ella's Pink Lady.
This afternoon Jessica was experiencing 25 knot winds and two and a half metre swells.
"I'm making good time at the moment, but will probably encounter some southerly winds as I head further down the coast," said Jessica.
Weatherzone meteorologist Josh Fisher said a low moving east over New South Wales would generate wind gusts reaching 60 kilometres an hour and scattered showers off-shore.
"She could see gusty conditions off the New South Wales coast before the predicted showers move in later this afternoon," Mr Fisher said.
Pending weather conditions over the weekend, Jessica is due to arrive in Sydney late on Monday and will stage a media conference on Wednesday at 10.30am.
